Obituary of Gerard J. Beauchamp

EAST ROCHESTER: March 23, 2016 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his wife, Christine (Della Pietra). He is survived by his children, Linda (Ralph) Brongo, Bernie, Phil, Jeanne (Patrick) Shanley, Bob (Joan), Jim (Kelly), & Mary Beauchamp (David Guadagnino); grandchildren, Ralph (Holly) Brongo, Lara (Krishna) Pacifici, Tyler Brongo, Tom & Adam Beauchamp, Matthew (Karen) Shanley, Ryan (Sara Shoener) Shanley, Katie (Justin) Byrd, Patrick, Brian & Daniel Beauchamp, Ben & Jack Beauchamp, and 6 great grandchildren; siblings Helen Best, Joseph Beauchamp, Theresa Ernst, Yvette Mularz, Reta Brewer and Bernadette Kozak; many extended family members and friends. Gerard and Christine owned and operated Della Pietra and Co., a building materials supply company in East Rochester. Gerard was a WWII veteran and an active member of St. Jerome's Church, the Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Veterans, the American Legion, the Genesee Valley Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge and The East Rochester Senior Citizens. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a regular donor with the American Red Cross. Gerard’s family would like to thank the staff at Clare Bridge and especially at The Friendly Home for their dedicated care. Friends may call SUNDAY, APRIL 3 1-3 & 6-8pm at the HARLOFF Funeral Home, 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester. Gerard’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on MONDAY, APRIL 4 at St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield St., East Rochester. Interment in White Haven Memorial Park.
