Very sorry to hear of Nick’s passing. Nick was the first person I met at University of Miami. Nick and I were roommates for 3 years while living in the dorms and eventually at the Sigma Chi house. We were inseparable. Enjoyed UM football games. Bill Baggs beach, where Nick was of course the Chairman, many impromptu parties, and watching The 3 Stooges while skipping history class. I lucked into having the best college roommate and devoted friend I could ever ask for. Only wish we could have stayed in touch…..

I want to extend my condolences to the family of Nicholas. I am the Son of Vito Filitti who was the uncle of Nicholas’s father Nick. I live in Iowa. Marge Davis contacted me about the passing of Nicholas. I remember Nicholas when he was a young boy and we would come back to East Rochester to visit the family. The Morbito family was always a special part of our family and I have many memories of our family visits once a year as I grew up. I am always saddened at the passing of a family member. My thoughts and prayers are with Nicholas’s family. Mike Filitti

No words are sufficient to express how deeply we feel for your family right now. Your husband, your dad, was a wonderful person. My frat brothers and I went to Daytona Beach for spring break. Nick and I wanted to catch up. I invited him to the party in Daytona. Afterwards Nick and I went to Miami. We stayed in his frat house. The only thing I remember is I was sleeping in the bottom bunk bed and there was a palmetto bug about 6" long resting above my head. Always good times with Nick. Deena and I send our sympathies.
