He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Carla, who dearly cherished him and will miss him every moment of every day. He was a devoted father to David Moses and Sarah Rose Rebis; John, Jeremy, and Rebekah Pellicano; Rachel (Matthew) Olpinski; and Joshua Noah Rebis. He was a loving grandfather to his grandson, Henry Robert Olpinski.

David is also survived by his brothers: Tom (Geri) Rebis, John (Patti) Rebis, Guy (Susan) Rebis, and Patrick Rebis. He held a special place in his heart for Caleb, Catherine, and Emily, whom he had hoped to know and earnestly prayed for.

David was a street preacher in downtown Rochester, NY in his younger days with his good friends Kevin Deagan and Gary Ritz.

He was a rugged, yet humble man and a gentleman of the finest quality, who shared his many talents freely. His eyes were always fixed on Jesus, his Lord and Savior, with whom he now rejoices with in eternity.
