Obituary of Jean C. Woodard

Jean Cosgrove Woodard 

East Rochester, NY- Jean C Woodard 85, went home April 11, 2025. 

She was born on July 22, 1939, in Geneva, NY. Jean was the daughter of John J and Mary Estelle (Ryan) Cosgrove.  

Jean graduated from DeSales High School in 1957 and continued  her education by attending airline school. She then married Ronald C Favreau and had three children. When her children were young, she went to work for the airline and enjoyed it until her retirement.  Aside from her love of her family, travel was what she enjoyed most.  She traveled whenever possible seeing much of this beautiful world. When her children were grown, Jean moved to Florida in 1985 where she was able to be close to her other love, the ocean.  

Jean was predeceased by her parents, her brother, James Cosgrove and her son, R Scott Favreau. 

Jean is survived by her daughters, Lori Shuffield (Steve Ash), Nicole Favreau; daughter-in-law, Laurie Smith; brother, John (Bonnie) Cosgrove, sister, Elinor (Gordon) Cackowski; sister-in-law, Kathy (Cosgrove) Jarlinski; grandchildren, Jessica (Sean) Nothstine, Somer (Jodi) Galucci, Christopher (Melissa) Shuffield and Zachery (Megan) Shuffield; great granddaughters, Alyssa, Jayden, Layla, Ella, Emerson and Parker; nieces and nephews, Halie Cosgrove, Heather (Scott Whitson) Cosgrove, Aidan (Erin Conley) Cosgrove, David Cackowski, Laura Domrzalski, Joseph Cackowski, Jennifer Gorman, several great nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 12:00-3:00 with a short service at 3:00 at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 South Washington St, East Rochester, NY 14445.
