Passed away at the age of 88 on September 5, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Charleen Payne; children, Richard (Maryanne) Payne, Joseph (Jodi) Payne, Gisèle (Austin) Haines; grandchildren, Austin (Demni) Haines, Cassie (Jermaine) Davis, Sean (Beth) Payne, Jessica (Terry) Ilges, Taylor (Nick Ross) Haines; eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his very special companion Chloe Grace. 

He was a devoted Boston fan.

Visitation for Richard will be held on Friday, September 12, from 4-7PM at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington Street, East Rochester. His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 13, 11:00AM, at St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield Street, East Rochester.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers
