Frances E. Dellaquila (Crowe)

Born October 9, 1938 died September 21, 2025.  

Born in Johnsonburg, PA the daughter of Francis Crowe and Eileen Crowe (Geer). In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband Thomas, brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Erma Dellaquila, Mary and John Viglione, Stephen and Marie Dellaquila, Grace and Chester Viola, John Dellaquila, Roseann and Anthony LaFay, Frank Richards and Brenda Crowe.

She is survived by daughter Julie, sisters Lauren and Mary Rae, brother John, brother-in-law Pasquale Dellaquila, and sisters-in-law Ann Dellaquila and Jacie Dellaquila, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  In addition, many lifelong dear friends including Samantha and Jake Crane who were considered family.

Frances earned her high school diploma from Johnsonburg High School and then her teaching degree from Clarion University.  She was an elementary school teacher for many years in both Pennsylvania and New York State.  She connected with children leaving a lasting impression on their lives.  She was known as “Aunt Fran” to all.

Frances enjoyed gardening, her dogs, vacations (especially Ireland) and, most of all, spending time with her family- especially during the holidays.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, September 25th from 4:00-7:00pm.  Frances' funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 1:30pm in St. John of Rochester Church, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport. Interment will take place at a later date in Pennsylvania.

Donations may be made to your local humane society to honor her love of dogs or St Jude Children’s Hospital/Research.
