Edna Mae (Boyce, Keefe) Griffith born August 6, 1925, passed away on January 3, 2026, Saturday evening, surrounded by her loving family.
Edna lived a full life, spanning over a century of history. She lived independently until the age of 97. She was born and raised in St. Regis Falls, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class.
She later started a family and moved to Rochester, where she worked as an executive secretary and lab technician. She eventually settled in Victor, where she remained for the majority of her life.
Edna thrived in the company of family and friends and enjoyed many aspects of her social life, including card clubs. She was also an exceptional Scrabble player. Words of wisdom she often shared were to enjoy every moment with family, experience as much as you can, and enjoy what you do—because life is short.
She was predeceased by her spouses, Leo Keefe and John Griffith; her daughter, Ramona L. (Keefe) Baylor; her parents, Lyle and Florence (Cheney) Boyce and her seven siblings, Loretta, Lyle, Robert, Elaine, Rita, Ernest, and Lorraine, of which she was the oldest.
Edna is survived by her sons, Michael W. Keefe and James L. Keefe; her grandchildren, James A. Keefe and wife, Kat, Kevin M. Keefe and wife, Keri, Ashley R. (Baylor) Carpenter and husband, David, and Michael J. Baylor; and her great-grandchildren, Dylan Keefe, Matthew Keefe, Logan Keefe, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Liam Carpenter. She also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 10th from 12-2 at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home, 26 Maple Ave, Victor, NY. Burial will be in the spring at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Victor.
