Robert John Davies, 72, of Farmington, New York, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, after a short illness. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Cynthia Ansaldi Davies. He was predeceased by his parents, Earle P. Davies and Marjory Stobie Davies, and his in-laws, Michael and Flora Ansaldi.
He leaves behind his sister, Janet Davies (C. Richard) and brothers, Carl Davies and James Davies. Robert had two sons Robert J. Davies, Jr. (Chris) and Eric Davies (Wendy), three grandchildren Heather Bassett (Andrew), Robby Davies, and Alicia Scarborough (Dakota) and two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Erik. After graduation from Greece Arcadia High School, Robert joined the Air Force where he served as Military Police. Robert traveled during his time in the military and loved serving his country. Upon leaving the service, he joined his father in the family seafood business. Eventually, he worked in the trucking industry and retired in 2013.
Robert enjoyed volunteering in his retirement years. He volunteered at Thompson Memorial Hospital prior to COVID. In the last few years, he drove the tram at Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua which he enjoyed. He loved traveling and being on the road, and he always chose driving rather than flying. Although Robert had a quiet nature, he lived by example offering those around him his kindness, generosity, humor and love. He is a man who will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on June 9, 2026, 11:00 am, Creation Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in his memory to Sonnenberg Gardens or Lollypop Farm.
