Martha B. Ihrman Obituary

Martha B. Ihrman, 84, passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Ihrman; her parents, Mary Nell Brennan and Patrick Joseph Brennan; and her siblings, Patrick J. Brennan Jr. and Betty Bauerly.

She and Don were married in 1962 and together they raised their family in East Rochester. They shared a lifelong love of animals and spent many happy years raising and showing Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Their dogs brought them great joy and companionship and remained a source of comfort to Martha after Don’s passing in 1996. She was an active member of several local kennel clubs as well as the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America.

Martha is survived by her devoted daughters, Elaine (Mark) Philippy and Karen Ihrman; her cherished grandsons, James (Bre) Philippy and Patrick Philippy; several nieces and nephews; dear friends; and her beloved corgi, Bridget.

Martha enjoyed a career in insurance and was known as an avid reader and loyal friend. She found happiness in puttering in her garden, visiting with friends and the corgis she had raised over the years, and attending her grandsons’ concerts.
