Obituary of Frederick L Urzetta

Frederick (Freddy) Urzetta born August 25, 1933 and passed away July 20, 2023. Predeceased by his parents, Carmine and Palma Morrone Urzetta; brothers, Nick, Joe, Sam, Frank; sisters, Rose, Theresa, Mary and Lucy. Survived by his wife, Marilyn (Acquisto) Urzetta: children, Sammy of NYC, Tracey (Paul) Johnston of Rochester, Jeff of Pittsford; cherished Sister-in-law, MaryEllen Urzetta, brother-in law, Mickey Acquisto, many precious nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; special friend, Ralph Morabito. Freddy was known in the area as an active HS and College Basketball referee until age 75. Also, he was a member of the PGA; his greatest passion in life was golf instruction. His numerous students were from around the immediate area as well as friends who may have relocated to various spots around the US. During his retirement years,he was actively giving golf lessons until (on occasion) the summer of 2022. Friends are welcome to call at St. Jeromes Church, 207 Garfield Street, East Rochester on Monday July 24th at 10:00-10:45 am where his Memorial Mass will immediately follow at 11 am. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jeromes Church in Freddy's memory.
