Obituary of Thomas Anthony Mendenhall

Mendenhall, Thomas A. Pittsford: Died peacefully April 28, 2010 at age 92 at home. Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Esther. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy who died in 1980. He is survived by his five children, John (Joan) Mendenhall of Cleveland, OH, Mary (Dr. Robert) Maggin of Rockville, MD, Thomas (Nina) Mendenhall of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, James Mendenhall of Rockville, MD & William Mendenhall of San Diego, CA; and was a proud grandfather of several grandchildren. Tom was a graduate of Ohio State University Law School. After being admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1941, he joined the FBI as a special agent. In 1967, while assigned with the FBI in Washington, D.C., he was admitted to the practice of law before the United States Supreme Court. In 1971, he retired after 30 years with the FBI and moved to Rochester, NY to assume teaching responsibilities at MCC. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1975. In 1987 he retired after 16 years as a professor in the Criminal Justice Dept. at Monroe Community College. There will be a Memorial Service in Creation Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park 210 Marsh Road in Pittsford, NY on SATURDAY May 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
