Obituary of Richard Joseph Diego

Richard "Joe" Diego of East Rochester passed away September 1, 2018.  He was predeceased by his son, Dick; sister, Marie Vella.  Joe is survived by his wife, Susan Van Scott Diego; children, Sue Ann (Peter) Harris, Jane Diego (Jay Shaw), James Diego; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Harris, Katherine (Chris) Hodges, Jeremy (Vicki) Fioravanti, Peter (Natalie) Harris, Elizabeth (Colin) Bauer, Emily Diego, Sara Diego; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis DePhillip, dearest family friend, Jim (Susan) Buchanan, whom he considered like a son.

Friends may call at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington Street, Friday 3-7 PM.  Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield Street, East Rochester.  Interment, White Haven Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Lifetime Care Hospice or the East Rochester Fire Department in his memory.
