Obituary of Vincent John State

Vincent John State of Pittsford passed away February 13, 2019 at age 95. He was predececased by 2 sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Farrell, Mary Joan (Bill) Christ; brother-in-law, Bill Morlock. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Philomena; 5 children from a previous marriage; step-children, Joseph (Jeanne) Thyroff, John (Kathy) Thyroff, Joanie (John) Valenti, and Louis (Valerie) Thyroff; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward State; sister, Betty Morlock; many nieces and nephews.  Vincent was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #15833.  The family would like to thank the Pluta Cancer Center and St. John's Home South Building, 3rd Floor, Marlene and Jeanette, for the loving care they provided to Vincent.

Friends may call at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington Street, East Rochester, Tuesday 4-7 PM. Vincent's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11AM at St. Louis Church, 64 S. Main Street, Pittsford. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Pluta Cancer Center.
