Obituary of Leamon E. Williams

Leamon E. Williams, 1932 – 2020 East Rochester - Passed January 5, 2020 at the age of 87. As a young man growing up in East Rochester, Leamon enjoyed the outdoors – managing his trapline along Irondequoit creek and hunting with his beloved beagle Buckwheat. Following high school, Leamon enlisted in the US Navy, serving active duty as a aviation ordnanceman on the USS Bennington during the Korean War. Upon discharge in December 1956, he reunited and eventually married high school classmate Jacqueline Nohe in July 1958 – she was the love of his life. Leamon was also a dedicated member of the East Rochester Fire Department with 46 years of active service. Predeceased by his wife Jacqueline, parents George and Eva, brother David. He is survived by his children Jeffrey, James, Linda (Mike) Lisena, and Jeremy; brother Darel (Lois); grandchildren Alexandria, Travis and Joshua; great-grandson Patrick; sister-in-law, Barbara Goehle; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4-7pm at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 South Washington Street, East Rochester. Leamon’s memorial service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020, 10:00am at White Haven Memorial Park All Seasons Chapel, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford.
