Bruce M. Johnson of Penfield, formerly of Pittsford died February 23rd 2020 at age 86. Predeceased by his wife Jean Claire. Bruce is survived by his son Abram (Amy) Johnson; grandsons, Adam and Benjamin Johnson; niece, Judy McGuin.

Bruce was born and raised in Oak Park IL. He graduated from the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. He was Professor Emeritus and Past Chairman of The English Department at The University of Rochester.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, March 7th from 3:00pm until 4:30pm where a time to share remembrances will be held at 4:30pm. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield will be held privately.
