Kathie and I met at EDS working in the Quality Assurance Team...she in the US and me in Canada. We co-chaired the QA network and led our respective QA teams (Canada/US). Our different working styles worked extremely well together...she liked to get things done fast and I was very detail oriented...so I slowed her down and she sped me up. :-)
Although most of our friendship was virtual due to distances, we did meet a couple of times...Once she took the ferry across to Toronto and I met her there. On another occasion she drove to my cottage in Canada and spent a lovely weekend with my wife and me. After her retirement we still kept in touch, reminiscing the good old days at EDS.
My life was enriched by having known Kathie and I will miss her. RIP.
