My dearest Bonnie & family...sad to know that he is not with us anymore. I share this in a fond way....I always remember how miserable he was...but that was Joe, especially at work. He was a great cop and he loved his work. I also know how much he loved his family and he wouldn't have made it without you all!!! Ronnie C.

I had the honor of fishing with Joe, and against him, in many tournaments. More importantly, I got to share some great times together. Fishing, vacations, and just sharing stories, and he had his fair share! It's going to be hard not having him there with us this year, but we'll do our best to honor him, and will be thinking about him. My deepest condolences to the family. RIP Joe.

My sincere condolences to the Toomey family and Friends. I will never forget the first time we fished together and the last time, with many times in between. All of those trips were memorable. Joe was a knowledgeable guy as well as a ball busting kind of person. I will miss Joe and will be thinking of him every time i'm on the boat. I know he will be looking down at us on the big pond waiting to bust em again, and i will know when. Love you Joe sure am going to miss you. Rest In Peace

We are still so shocked and dismayed by all this - such a difficult time for all of you. Although Ed and I didn't know Joe that well, certainly our kids did! So many great (and relieved!) memories of "yes, Mom, I've already been yelled at", or "No, I'm fine - at Toomeys - Joe's in charge - and I don't argue with him or Bonnie" - so thank you! Joe helped raise our kids - all three of them in some way or another and he did a great job. Love to all. Deb and Ed
