Obituary of Dominic J. Quinzi
Dominic J. Quinzi of East Rochester died June 5, 2020 at age 84. Dominic is predeceased by his parents, Nazzareno and Irene DiGuiseppe Quinzi; siblings, Elma, Oliver, John, Sylvia and Peter. He is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Louise; children, Michael (Donna), Thomas (Valerie), Kathleen (Richard) Pomponio and John (Nicole); grandchildren, Dr. David (Dr. Margaux), Dr. Thomas (Dr. Allison), Joseph, Dr. Brianna, Stephen, Michele and Madeline; sisters, Ann Balkiewicz, Theresa Quinzi-Willette and Joanne Caiola; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Cerretti and Patricia Quinzi; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Dominic was a retired teacher with the Webster School District, a member of the Rochester USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame and a veteran of the US Army and National Guard. Dominic's family wishes to express sincere thanks to his many caregivers at Rochester Regional Health and Professional Assistance to Seniors.
A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 5, 2021 10AM, the one year anniversary of his death, at St. Jerome's Church. The mass will be livestreamed at stjeromerochester.org. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to St. Jerome's Church or The Lipson Cancer Center in his memory.
