Obituary of Mary Carmella Ruggieri

Mary Carmella Ruggieri of Penfield left on her journey to be with God Almighty on August 16, 2020. She passed away peacefully in the company of members of her family. She is predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Anna (Cilento) Palermo. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Sam; son, Nicholas (Vanessa) and their children, Cameron and Isabelle. She is also survived by her four stepchildren, Anthony (Julie) and their children, Sam and Quincy; Vincent; Michael and his children, Vincent and Kayla; and by Deana, the brat of the pack. Mary cherished her relationship with her sister-in-law, Corky Aloi and her dear friend, Vivienne Ruggieri. Mary was adored by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. (There was also Murphee, and now Barney.) Mary was a graduate of St. John Fisher College. As a Human Resource Manager she was a dedicated, loyal and well-respected member for over three decades of the Corning, Inc. and Tropel Corning family. During her life she cast a ray of sunshine into the lives of everyone she touched. Her gentle demeanor, contagious laugh, great sense of humor and positive attitude are traits treasured by all who love her. Her family knows she is now at peace and in comfort after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Even heaven is enriched by her presence. Mary‘s Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 25, 2020 10AM at Saint Jerome‘s Church, East Rochester.
