Obituary of Amedio Cerretti

Amedio “Mim” Cerretti, a long time resident of East Rochester, NY, died peacefully on May 12, 2021, in Rochester, NY. Mim was pre-deceased by his loving wife Ida of 69 years. Mim is survived by his son Fred (Sandy) Cerretti; grandson Michael Cerretti and granddaughter Lauren Cerretti; brother Raymond Cerretti (Joan). Mim was pre-deceased by two siblings: sister Louise (Ernest, deceased) and brother Phillip (Mary Jane). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mim was born on April 15, 1927 to Alfred and Ginevra Cerretti, in East Rochester, NY. Mim had a long and successful career with Penn Central, Allstate, and Citibank. Mim was an avid bowler and golfer. Mim was the local “handyman” in town, frequently coming to the aid of countless friends and family members. Mim was also rightfully proud of his military service in World War II. One of my fondest memories was serving as his escort to the World War II museum in New Orleans as a member of the Honor Flight. He was a very active and proud member of the East Rochester American Legion, Post 1917. No prior calling. Mim's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 26, 2021 10AM at St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield St.. E. Rochester. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.
