There are simply not enough words to express the love and gratitude I feel and will always feel for Mrs. Leeper/Auntie Pat. When I met her when I was 15, I had absolutely no idea of the tremendous role she would play not just in my life, but in the lives of my children and their children. Mark, Mike, Eric, Peggy, Peter, David, Tricia, and Tommy … Thank you for sharing your beautiful, kind mother with all of us. We are truly better people for having her in our lives. I think one of the funniest stories I remember of her helping me as a mother of a tiny toddler was when I was so upset when Aidan was in the stage of putting his little finger up his nose. Your mom said to me, “Moya, you are making far more of it than he is, and if you stop, he’ll stop.” Guess what. I stopped. He stopped. (Thank goodness.) Auntie Pat, I love you. Mark, Mike, Eric, Peggy, Peter, David, Tricia, and Tommy, I love you, and I pray that your many fabulous, warm, fun memories of this amazing woman and your great dad help you through the painful times.
