Sincere Condolences to Gail and the Herko family. I have many fond memories of Arnold as a child. As a child I worshiped firefighters , the fire trucks and the fire station. My father Robert Phelix who worked with Arnold at Jarl Extrusion buiilt me a wooden fire station for four large Tonka trucks , compltete with an upstairs living quarters and fire pole to down stairs truck area. I received it for Christmas around age 6 in 1974 . Arnold knew of my passion with firefighters and he would be at our house or often I would be at his house. He gave me his authentic East Rochester Fire Department dress cap with badge and his coat badge. I would put that hat on and pin on the badge many times while playing with my fire trucks Arnold was over at our house and we were often over at his. I would watch while he placed bets on OTB , we watched Little Rascal movies at Joe Bock's home and spent time with him at his brother's Bobs home --- all good times. Arnold would go clay bird shooting with my father and I was always included and I have many more fond memories of him. Later I returned the dress cap and badge to him and believe he may have been a major influence as I retired as a police officer and was a US Army Veteran. May you rest in peace and until we meet again.
