I met Cindy through my jewelry making. She was a huge supporter of my creations and in a matter of a few weeks we became fast friends. We’d call each other, and talk not only about stones and jewelry, but about everything. We’d chatter for hours at a stretch about all sorts of crafty things, recipes, renovations, movies. We would video call or chat on messenger endlessly on and off through the day. Except for a few days here and there we would connect almost every day.
She’d give me advice, chided me when I needed it, encouraged, supported and fought for me and with me when it called for… she’d brainstorm with me, listen to my kid play his hymns… love and encourage us. She even “adopted” my husband, rather asked him to adopt her so she could teach certain people a lesson on how to treat family.
She cared for us all, took us into her fold and became one of us. I miss her terribly.
