We are so very sorry to hear about Mary Kay's passing. We moved to East Rochester in 1986, a very young and growing family. We didn't know many people in the area, but Mary Kay and Walt took us under their wings and essentially served as surrogate parents to us. Their kids were immediate playmates and babysitters for our three sons, and we spent many an afternoon around their pool and in their yard, conversing and enjoying our lovely neighborhood. Mary Kay always lended an open ear, and offered support to us during those early years of our marriage and family. I'll never forget the walks we took together, her eternal smile, her sense of humor, her love for her family. After moving away in 1992 we returned for visits, and she always welcomed us to her home, even after her sudden illness. We look back on our years in East Rochester with much fondness, and so much of that is because we were so connected with Mary Kay and her family.
