Obituary of James J. Herko, Sr.

James J. Herko Sr. of East Rochester passed away of December 9, 2021 at age 82. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Morey Herko; children, Frederick (Maria) Herko, Suzanne (Laszlo) Tordai, James J. (Deanna) Herko Jr., Maryann (Mike Prince) Reiss, William Herko; grandchildren, Eva, Sofia Herko, Austin, Annabelle, Elliott Tordai, Matthew, Sarah Herko, Nicholas (Staci), Jonathon Reiss and Amanda Herko; great-grandson, Dean Reiss; sister, Carol Tyree; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Herko; lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Anna and Joe Herko; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Anna Herko, Arnold Herko; sister, Elaine Herko; twin brother, Howard Herko; sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and Joe Boch; brother-in-law, Jerre Tyree; and several nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Rochester General Hospital for their loving care of Jim. Family and friends may call at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington St., E. Rochester, Sunday 2-5PM. Jim's Funeral Service will be celebrated Monday 12NOON at St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield St., E. Rochester.
