Obituary of Patricia A. Messerino

Patricia (Pat) A. Messerino East Rochester, NY on Wednesday 5/18/22 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at age 91. Predeceased by her husband, Frank Messerino; brother, Michael Conley, Aunt; Jessie Ravello, and many beloved friends and extended family. Survived by her sons Tony (Julie) and Mike (Lisa) Messerino. Grandchildren: Leslie (Anthony) Mock, Christie Messerino, Zach (Janelle) Messerino, Max Messerino and Great Grandchild: Tyler Leisten. Born in East Rochester, NY on May 13, 1931, Pat lived her life to the fullest. She spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry, starting from bus girl and eventually becoming the director of catering at the Radisson Hotel and then Hilton Hotel in Henrietta. On the side, she cleaned houses just to have some “mad money” as she would call it. Pat was an avid learner, she never snubbed an opportunity to learn something new and was always reading an “incredible” book. Pat had many hobbies and interests as well as a very full social life, she spent many hours a week at her favorite sewing shop, Sew Creative in Fairport, NY. She loved to quilt, knit, and had a talent for many creative outlets. She made her family and friends the most beautiful sox’s, mittens, wallets, purses and anything her family requested. She was a homemaker at heart, she made the best pie crust in the world (the secret is the ice cold butter) and would go out of her way to make her sons and family their favorite “little treat.” Pat was also a die hard sports fan, her favorite team in the whole world: The Yankees and would often be found yelling at her television “alright already” when a great play for her team occurred. She went out of her way to catch her favorite sports players (Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, and Steph Curry) and attended all of her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great grandchild’s sporting events. Pat certainly made her mark on anyone who spent time with her, she was generous, courageous, graceful, bold, intelligent, and funny. She will be deeply missed by her family and her friends. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to your favorite charitable organization.
