Obituary of Doris L. Willis

Doris L. Willis of Penfield passed away on May 24, 2022 at age 85. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Robinson; brother, Manley Fowler; step-children, Peter Willis, Pamela Willis. Doris is survived by her husband, Charles; children, Edward (Deborah) Smith, Sandra Pfundtner, Patricia Smith, Julie (Joe) Meekins; step-children, Charles Willis, Jesse (Elizabeth) Willis, Scott Willis, Sharon (Bruce) Woodcock, Judith (Bryan) Johnston, James Willis; grandchildren, Zachary (Casey) Smith, Nicholas (Jenny) Smith, Alexis Pfundtner; great-grandson, Korben Smith; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Boyes; many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was an accomplished musician and entertained us all by playing the accordion, piano and organ. She also really enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. Her position as secretary of the volunteer ambulance core in East Rochester was one of her favorite things because it allowed her to help people which is what she liked best. Lorraine’s career was spent as a dedicated legal secretary for most of her life. Her hobbies included reading, square dancing, being out in nature, and spending time in the kitchen making her own jams, spaghetti sauce, canning vegetables, and creating the best lasagna in the world. She will be dearly missed by all those whom she touched. Friends may call at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington St., East Rochester, Friday 4-7PM. Interment private.
