Rich and I went to mcc in the mid 70’s, both graduating with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He and his girlfriend would come over to my apartment and watch snow. I just heard of his passing speaking with another classmate Rod Schwink who went to high school with him and college with us.
We were good friends who lost track of each other. I spoke with Rod just tonight, and heard of Rich’s passing. Time, passages, different choices, etc. cause us to sometimes loose great friends, without knowing. I remember his cabin, old Jeep pickup and laughs.
My sincere condolences to his children, and grandchildren. Rich had a great sense of humor. Sorry I missed the last 45 years with him.
I hope that the Good Lord holds him in his heart, as you all will.

Very sad to hear of Rich passing. I worked with Rich for a few years at RGH. Rich was a great man that loved his family and always there to help others. I have a lot of memories of great conversations with Rich and had a lot of laughs with him as well. Sadly missed. My heart and prayers go out for his family.

Gosh Rich was a very calming force in the OR. He could fixed anything and did so such confidence. When s..t the fan in OR mechanically he was the first one to call and boy he saved the day plenty of times while the rest of us were frantically pitching fits not knowing what we were doing while the surgeon was yelling at us to do something. God bless Rich as he offered his mechanical ability as his gift to us.

Sorry to hear about Richard’s passing. He worked in the OR at Genesse Hospital and was a great help in the Biomed department helping to keep our equipment working. I enjoyed knowing him.

Dear Angel & Holly.
The last 17 years have definitely strained our family. All I can and will do is remember ALL the good and happy days with Dad prior. I'm so sorry for your loss and will always remember the great days with Dad. The camp will forever and always hold a special place in my heart and mind.
