Obituary of Barrie D. Nenno
East Rochester, NY – Barrie Nenno was born on October 26, 1941. After a brief illness, Barrie passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022. Barrie was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Ruth (Martin) Nenno, and his son, David John Nenno. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Nenno, brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Barbara Nenno, and his former wife and friend, Shirley Meston.
Barrie spent his adult life in East Rochester, NY, having served four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Wasp during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and then returning to obtain a master’s degree in statistics from RIT. He was an avid fisherman and longtime employee of RG&E, where he was a contributor to the employee website and newsletter. Barrie spent his retired life volunteering his time with the East Rochester Historical Society, ERCN Channel 12, and Heritage Christian Services at the therapeutic riding program. Barrie will be remembered for his kind and generous heart.
Barrie requested that no services be held.
