Reta J. Cushing (Schneider)

Fairport – Peacefully on November 22, 2022 at age 98.

Predeceased by her husband, Arthur Cushing; parents, Robert and Mary Schneider; sister, Lucille Schneider (Henry) Koester; brothers, Robert, Timothy and James Schneider. Reta is survived by her sister, Colletta Schneider (Gordon) Magoon; many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 11 AM at St. Jerome’s Church, 207 Garfield Steet, East Rochester.

Reta graduated from Penfield High School and resided in East Rochester for many years with her beloved husband Arthur. Upon his retirement from Eastman Kodak, Reta and Arthur moved to Port Orange Florida where they enjoyed the sights and sounds of Port Orange, Daytona Beach and the surrounding area. Reta was an avid social card and game player and was involved in a number of Port Orange activity groups and organizations in this regard. She was also an active member of the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange where a memorial Mass will be held after the holidays. Internment will follow in the new year as she joins her husband Art at the Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach Florida.
