Obituary of Charles T Willis

Charles Willis of Penfield, NY passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 93. Born in Syracuse, Charles lived in several towns in New York and Pennsylvania before settling in Rochester, NY where he graduated from the University of Rochester. He started working for the Biological Stain Commission at the University of Rochester in 1959 and continued working there for 60 plus years before retiring in 2020. Charles had the honor of being the longest employed person at the University. One of his great passions in life was his service to the Boy Scouts of America. After 50 plus years he was proudly awarded The Silver Beaver Award for his distinguished service and dedication. In his later years he enjoyed square dancing with his beloved wife, Lorraine. Charles was predeceased by his wife, Doris Lorraine; brother, Dick; son, Peter; daughter, Pam and grandson, Esha. He is survived by his brother, Bob; children, Charles Willis; Jesse (Elizabeth) Willis; Scott Willis; Sharon (Bruce) Woodcock; Judy (Bryan) Johnston; James Willis; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Patti (Al) Price; stepchildren, Edward (Debrah) Smith; Sandra Pfundtner; Patricia Smith; Julie Cialini; many step-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Friends may call on Friday, January 6 from 4 – 7 PM at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington St., East Rochester. Internment Private.
