Carl & I worked together at Xerox for 20 plus years. We went on many adventures traveling to cities undergoing training for a new mainframe computer purchased by our department to track and catalog all of the company's records. Because of our newness to the technology. I will never forget the laughs we experienced learning the ins and outs of the new process. We decided to name the computer "HAL" after the computer from "2001: A Space Oddessy". Carl was an absolute joy to work with, and after he retired in 1998 we met occasionally for lunch and to recall the many fond memories we had about our time at the big "X". We offer our sincere condolences to Karla and Todd. May the Lord bless Carl, and welcome him.

We moved to our home in 1993 and were lucky enough to have Carl and his wife Pat be our next door neighbors. They were welcoming, friendly, kind, and all-around great people. Carl seemed to know a little bit about every topic in the world. If you had a question, you could always get an answer from Carl! It's unclear if his answer was always right, but it sure seemed like he knew what he was talking about...hahaha :) He was always quick with a joke...not always funny but they made us laugh anyway. ;) He was a delight and we grew to love both him and his wife as the years went on. They eventually became kind of like surrogate grandparents to our kids which was great because their "real" grandparents spent most of their time in Florida so having "pretend" grandparents right next door was a great influence on our kids' lives. Our son Nic was two years old when he met their grandson John and they became fast friends and spent a LOT of time together over the next many years. Their friendship continues to this day. Papa Carl and Grandma Pat (as they became known to us, our kids, and several other neighbor kids) began having John over a lot and Nic was always excited to be able to play with him...here, at their house, outside...anywhere they could be together. Papa Carl and Grandma Pat knew how much fun Nic and John had together and before long he was spending most days all summer at their home. We have many memories to cherish of Papa Carl and still miss his presence next door even though he moved several years ago. He was a wonderful man and we are lucky to have known him and been a part of his life for so many years. Our hearts go out to his family and we pray that their countless memories of all the years they had with him will be a comfort to them as their hearts begin to heal. RIP Papa Carl xo

When we were small children Uncle Carl lived with us in East Rochester. I remember him picking us up over his head with one hand. We would laugh. It was like going on a ride at an amusement park. You are in the loving presence of Jesus Christ now. God bless you Uncle Carl :)

I knew Carl through the New Frontier Society and the society's participation in the Monroe County Fair. With Carl's friendliness and good humor, he always made every encounter pleasant. I'll never forget his "pride and joy" joke! Rest with the stars, Carl.
