Obituary of John David Engels

EAST ROCHESTER - John passed on February 9th 2023, at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Alice Leisten and brother, William Corkish. John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly Allen Engels; children, Diane Engels, David Engels (Jackie Sherman) and Steven Engels; grandchildren, Jessica Engels (Rob Gumberts), Heather Engels, and Adam Engels; great grandchildren, Aaron McDonald, Casey Fouser and Oliver Laky; brothers, Larry (Norma) Leisten, Robert (Barbara) Leisten; sister-in-law, Sue Ann Corkish; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his beloved Wednesday morning breakfast buddies, Vince and Jimmy Antonicelli. He also leaves behind his beloved Tamarack Campground and all his camper friends. Family and friends are invited to call at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 South Washington St., East Rochester on Monday from 4:00-7:00pm where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
