Obituary of James J Losey

James J. Losey, born January 12,1940, passed away February 22,2023, at 83 from cancer. James is predeceased by Wallace Losey (father), Mary lrene (mother), William Losey (brother), and Mary Jean (sister). James ls survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria, children Timothy, Debbie, Steven (Karen), Linda (John Nohe), Becky (Adam Bennett), 9 grandchildren, Eric, Joshua, Tyler, Christopher, Steven, Brittany, Jake, Jenna, and Emily, and 3 great grandchildren, Lexi, Riley, Archer, and one on the way, Noah James, along with many nieces, and nephews. James worked at the Piano Works (known as the Aeolian Piano Corporation), Sentry Group (known as John D Brush Company), and the East Rochester Union Free School as a Custodian and Crossing Guard. James enjoyed fishing, woodworking, trains, playing pool, and playing with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time at the Senior center in East Rochester, making people laugh. A friend to all and will be missed by many. ln honor of James favorite attire, the family will be wearing flannel shirts to the calling hours which will be held at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 South Washington Street, East Rochester, NY from 4-7 pm on Monday February 27, 2023. The family has chosen to have a private graveside service.
