Obituary of Thomas Romaniw

Thomas J Romaniw, 77, entered into the arms of Jesus on April 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with lung cancer. Tom is predeceased by his parents, John and Carol Romaniw, and sister Susan Urbanik . He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores, “Debbie” (Hoffman), his son, Brian Romaniw, and daughter, Sandra(Tim Ganoung) and grandson, Austun Gross. Tom enjoyed a 24 year career in the printing prep department at Burroughs Corp. in Rochester NY . Retired at age 62, he enjoyed many trips with his wife. Tom enjoyed many hobbies in his younger years. As a young man he proudly helped his father build a cottage on Black Lake NY. The cottage was enjoyed by his family for many years and many memories were made. He enjoyed fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, detailing his many cars, and followed many sports teams including the Buffalo Bills, Yankees and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon. Tom was selflessly dedicated to his family, always putting their needs and concerns above his own. His gentle soul enjoyed dancing and singing to Elvis, laughing with friends and family, and was always a great listener. Tom’s character, wit and kind heart will be missed but never forgotten. There will be no calling hours for Tom. Family and friends are invited to a small memorial Monday, April 10th at 11AM at : White Haven Memorial Park, Creation Chapel, 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford, NY 14534.
