Obituary of Merle M. Pieramico

Merle Jean Pieramico Born January 25, 1931 in Barre, VT Passed June 28, 2023, at St. John’s Home in Rochester, NY   Predeceased by her parents, Arthur & Gertrude Montague,;siblings, Earl Montague, Diane Perreault (Montague), and David Montague   Merle is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Nick Pieramico of Farmington, NY,; sister, Lois Foss (Montague); sons, David (Tricia) Pieramico of Fairport, NY, Michael Pieramico of Rochester, NY, Alan (Elke) Pieramico of Hilton Head, SC, Stephen (Cindy) Pieramico of Farmington, NY, and Nick (Lisa) Pieramico of Youngsville, NC. She is also survived by two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.   Merle and her husband spent most of their years together in Penfield, NY, raising their 5 boys. They attended St. Joseph’s Church for many years. She was a registered nurse, and was a long-time volunteer at Bay Trail Library in Penfield, NY. She and her husband enjoyed many years wintering in Myrtle Beach. She loved playing golf with her good friend, Betty McAlpine, and enjoyed cross stitching.   The family would like to thank the staffs at St. John’s home in Rochester, NY, for their compassionate care given to Merle.   Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Penfield, for immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester & Fingerlakes Region Chapter.
