Mary Virginia Smith (Mary Jean)
Passed away July 13, 2023 at age 78 after a courageous battle with a prolonged illness. She is predeceased by parents, Charlie and Angeline Papa, and brother, Tommy; She is survived by her loving devoted husband of 17 years ,Mike, brother Joe (Pat).; sons , Christopher Kemp (Sharon), Brenden Kemp (Tracy), Ryan Kemp (Jessica), stepsons, Greg Smith (Kelli), Michael Smith; grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas, Liam, Rowan, Harrison, Monroe, Ford, Jude and great grandchild, Hope; loving nieces, Charlene and Michelle; other nieces Sandy, Gail, Lorie and nephew, David, great nieces, Tori and Cara.
The family would like to thank the Intensive Care unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Mary Jean’s love was her family. She enjoyed cooking and collecting Disney
memorabilia, traveling, being with her friends and watching New York Yankees with her husband.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 17 from 4-7 pm at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington Street, E. Rochester. Mary Jean's Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, July 18, 10:00 a.m., St. Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield Street, E. Rochester with interment at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made St. Jude Childrens Hospital in memory of Mary Virginia Smith
