As a student at Nazareth College, I was asked if I might teach gym at St. Jerome's and Mary Ellen became my driver. AND would always leave me at the dorm with donuts. Not being from Rochester, I had no idea of who she was nor the "fame" of Sam. A few years ago, I was delighted to be in a supermarket line with her, each of us recognizing the other and my noting fond memories of those mini-journeys with her. To Helen Mary, Joe, Peter, Michael, and extended family, My sincere condolences on Mary Ellen,s passing, I will forever cherish countless childhood and adult memories. Countless drives in her open top convertible to the pool and other places, many summer days at our pool, the time she retrieved me in a pouring rain outside Dr Cry’s office :), and her annual gift of a special chelate chip pastry. Her deep catholic faith and gentle, kind heart to me and others will forever be an inspiration to me. Very fondly, Fred Cerretti

Mary Ellen, was the most decent and beautiful person I have ever known, and I knew her for 93 years, since we were 4 year-olds, when as neighbors we began playing together. She was as near perfect as anyone could be and cherished as a daughter, wife, mother, classmate. Mary Ellen Trescott Urzetta was, and will remain to be, an East Rochester treasure. Nick Verzella
