Obituary of Laura May (Saul) Waters
In Loving Memory of Laura May (Saul) Waters
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Laura May (Saul) Waters on the 26th day of September in the year 2023. She peacefully departed this earthly life at the age of 89 in Pittsford, NY, where she had resided with her daughter. Laura's life began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Left to mourn her loss and treasure her memory are her beloved daughters, Ida Belmonte (Frank), Debra Wierzbowski, Diane Haas, and Laura Connard (Brayton), and her loving son Richard Waters, Jr., (Anna Maria). Jennie Friend, Laura’s sister, and sister-in-laws Beverly D’Ambrosio, June Saul and Terry Waters also mourn the loss of a loving woman. Furthermore, Laura’s memory will continue to live on through her grandchildren, Crystal, Janelle (Matt), Jennifer (Chad), Mark, Megan (Joe), Eric, Brayton (Kaylee), Douglas, Alexander and Shawn, and great-grandchildren Carmen, Gabriel and Gerlando. Her legacy of love and compassion also endures through her nieces and nephews too numerous to name but all deeply loved.
Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Waters, Sr. Additionally, she mourned the loss of her parents, Harry Saul and Margaret Saul (Bowker), who instilled in her the values that shaped her character. She was predeceased by brothers Harry, Albert and William, and sister Mildred.
A memorial service will be held in her honor in Bristol Pennsylvania where she lived for over 70 years. Family and close friends will gather at Zion Lutheran Church, where Laura found solace and strength, to pay their final respects and share loving memories of a life well-lived on October 14 at Noon, followed by a church service at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Bristol, PA.
Laura touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark through her kindness, love, and grace. While her physical presence may be gone, her spirit will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. May she find eternal rest in the arms of her Creator, and may her memory be a source of love and inspiration to us all.
