Mr. Dellaquila was a wonderful part of the MCC math dept. when the school opened in Henrietta. I was fortunate enough to be a student-aid then. Mr. Dellaquilla was never to be busy for a pleasant, helpful conversation. I will always hold him in high regard & regret not having stayed close all these years.

While doing some work for Tom and Fran, Tom noticed I was wearing a shirt with a lighthouse on it. He asked if I liked lighthouses and I told him I loved them as I was from Maine and visited several of them. Before I left, on my final day of work, Tom gave me a picture of a lighthouse that he had painted. It hangs on the wall in our den. It was such a kind gesture and I think of Tom every time I look at it.

Uncle Tom was a huge part of our lives, even since we were little. He was our go to person for so many things - help with math homework, home repairs and even picking up my youngest from preschool every day. He lived right around the corner from us and would take his daily walks and come over to visit. All of our friends called him "Uncle Tom" too - he was never "Mr. Dellaquila". My brothers and husband also referred to him fondly as just "T". We loved all of the family stories that he, my mother and our other aunts and uncles would tell - especially the ones where they would tease our grandmother who would always react with a "Hmm Hmm...". He had a wonderful, dry sense of humor, and he would help anyone who needed it. He will be missed very much, but we are sure he is having fun catching up with everyone in Heaven - maybe even having a cup of coffee and an Italian cookie:)
Love, Marie, Phil, Victoria and Cecelia Byrne

Uncle Tom had a huge impact not only on my life, but my family and friends as well He was truly everyone's uncle and had a certain wisdom about him (don't laugh Julie) and I use many of his sayings still today. He will be truly missed by all of us.
Love, Joe LaFay and family

I met Tom 3 years ago, when I started cleaning for both Tom and Fran. In all my years cleaning I have never been more touched by the kindness, caring, talkative wonderful people! I always enjoyed talking with Tom, he had the best stories that would make me smile. Tom will be missed and my condolences to everyone that he touched in his own special way! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family!
