Douglas was a quiet person with many interests. He loved going to the library, helping out at church, working on cars (he affectionately called his girlfriend’s car Belles), fixing Gravely lawn tractors, and traveling to the Gravely Mow-in event in Pennsylvania with his brother, George, each year. Douglas appreciated the natural world and was a kind caregiver to animals, especially cats. His family meant a lot to him, as well as his life-long friends. He will be greatly missed.
