Obituary of Brownlie Graham
Brownlie Eugene Graham passed away on Friday, May 17, peacefully and surrounded by family. Brownlie was born in rural Brooklyn, Iowa on March 2, 1937. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Fern, his stepfather, Harold Ford, his sister and brother-in law, Barbara and Warren Willis, and his infant granddaughter, Olivia.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn, four daughters and their spouses: Mary (Rick Welsh), Colleen (Stephen Luke), Beth, and Joan (Mark Henretta) and seven grandchildren: Sarah, Abi, Sean, Melissa, Ben, Douglass, and Brownlie. Also survived by his brothers John (Connie) Graham and Lawrence (Audra) Ford; his sister Glynace (Dan) Kloock and his brother-in-law James McGowan.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Brownlie was a proud Hawkeye whose life reflected the midwestern values of hard work, humility, and humor. He cherished family and friends and always strove to ‘do the right thing’. He was an avid pickleball player.
Brownlie operated a successful tax and accounting practice, Graham Financial Services, for many years. He served his clients with expertise and kindness.
