Both Frank and Paul were positive influences on so many people. They were generous and kind to their employees, giving many of them their first job. They taught values and work ethic by example. Both were taken way too soon but will remain in the hearts of all that had the good fortune of knowing them.

Frank was the best boss and mentor to me a teen and throughout my 20s. He did so much for the kids in the neighborhood and always treated them like family. I loved Sundays as the pizza shop because he would always cook a delicious meal (something not on the menu) and offer you a glass of his homemade wine. We would sit around for hours talking and laughing. He always treated me like family and that meant so much to me. I will miss him dearly. My condolences to Marni and the family.

My deepest condolences to the Surace family. I worked for him when I was a teenager and remember when Frankie was born. Ironically, that job led to me having a career in cooking for over a decade. Frank had a wonderful heart, loved his family (he would always smile with a twinkle in his eye when talking about them), loved his community, worked hard and was a great man. He will be missed by many. Please reach out for anything you might need.

I was so lucky to have Frank as my brother- in- law for 30 years !! I have so many memories of the pizza shop and our family get togethers. Eating dinner at Marni and Franks was like being at a restaurant with a full buffet, you never left hungry and I often was lucky to be sent home with some leftovers!!
Frank touched so many hearts.
He will be missed sooo much! I love you Frank!

I'll really miss Frank, he and Paul were always good to my family. My brother Gary Raskopf and I were among his first couple customers at Surace's and after that our family would order a sheet pizza every Friday for many years. We spent a lot of free time there in junior high playing video games and sometimes working for Frank and Paul. Frank happened to be behind the counter a few years back when I stopped into the last location inside Leo's Bakery a couple times, I got to talk to him at length, it was like old times. On my Facebook page I have a memorial album to Paul Surace which has a lot of pictures from the pizza shop. You can find that album at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1942923802513415&type=3 -- Steve Bolton

I have had the pleasure of knowing Frank for the last 4 years, My boyfriend Joseph (his nephew) used to always tell me about his Uncles home made sauce, wine, and of course his famous pizza! When I first met Frank he made me feel so welcomed he had always treated me like I was part of the family. He always knew how to make us laugh, or cook us a big dinner, or host a Sunday football game and never failed to have a choice between red or white wine sitting out on the counter. He will deeply be missed we love you Frank❤️

Frank was the best brother-in-law a girl could ask for. He was sweet, gentle and kind to me from the first day I met him. I am honored to have been a part of his life. He will never fade from my memory and will always live in my heart.
