Obituary of Donald R. Wimbley

Donald R Wimbley, 83, of Fairport, NY, passed away on June 6, 2024. He was born on January 27, 1941, in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Donald proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years. After his military service, he pursued a career as a trainer at Xerox, which eventually led him from Illinois to Rochester. Donald was known for his loving and supportive nature, and he was a dedicated Buffalo Bills super fan. His hobbies included golf, food and wine, travel, wood working and spending time with his grandchildren.He will be deeply mised by his family and friends. Donald is survived by Christine and Charles Robbins and Kim and Ken Richards (stepchildren); grandchildren, Madison, Meghan, Charlie, and Emily;, sister in law, Karen Wimbley, and his brother, Moe Wimbley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Diamond and his brother, Steve Wimbley. Private services are planned for Tuesday, June 11. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY. Harloff Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
