Bill loved being home and spending time with his housemates and team. Bill loved the Beatles and Johnny Cash. He loved all things sports and a really great Western movie. Bill dressed up in cowboy gear for one of his housemate Peter who needed encouragement and enjoyed watching Lone Ranger movies with him. Bill grew up in Chili Center. Bill attended Washington Irving School for elementary school. Later, he spent many years at the Al Sigl Center on Elmwood Avenue. In 1987, Bill moved into Buffalo Road. He was an original there. Eventually, Bill moved into his home at Whalen Road. He joined his church next door at the “Episcopal Church of the Incarnation. When Bill attended an annual meeting, the Pastor asked if the congregation needed anything more to make church better. Bill raised his hand and said, “Yes, Jesus”. Bill enjoyed making cookies to bring over to his faith community and enjoyed greeting people the moment he entered his church. He loved to sing and pray at his church, at home and at work. He loved his Bible (which was given to him by his mother). When Bill talked about prayer he said he was talking to God. It was beautiful to listen to Bill pray.
