Penfield - Wednesday September 25, 2024 at the age of 77 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Eckert. Karen is survived by her sister, Bette Kron; niece and nephew, Heather and Peter. Karen is also survived by her husband and best friend, Michael McDonald as well as his children.

Karen was a teacher for many years in the Webster School District and was loved by many students and teachers.

A celebration of life will be held for Karen at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
