Michael Daniel Flanigan,75, of Canandaigua, NY,  died on Monday, October 28, 2024, after a short illness, with family by his side.  

He was born on March 22, 1949, in Slingerlands, NY.  Michael graduated from Bethlehem Central High School, in Delmar, NY, and graduated in 1972 from The University of Rochester, where he played both football and golf.  He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.  Michael worked for Taylor Instruments, where he earned various salesman awards. He also worked for Combustion Engineering Air Conditioning Corp in Greensboro, NC. He was an entrepreneur at heart and sought out exciting opportunities.  

Michael was an avid fan of the Yankees, the NY Giants, and his beloved Duke Blue Devils.  As well as his love for sports, he was a great dog “Dad” to Tiny, Brandy, Copper, Tawny, Ginger, Keltie, Seara, and Riley, as well as  “Grandpa” to the family cats.  He was an advocate for animal causes.

Micheal was predeceased by his parents, Maurie and John Flanigan of Slingerlands, and his brothers Robert, Richard, and John.  Micheal leaves behind his wife, Linda H. Flanigan, his daughter, Taryn C. Flanigan, a son M. Ryan Flanigan, his wife Marissa, and two grandchildren.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
