Frank was a special person in our lives for over 60 years -- as a friend of John's at St. Michael's College in Toronto in the early 60s, and later as a brother-in-law and uncle to our children who spent many happy holidays with their O'Brien cousins in Rochester. Frank and Barb's house was always a lively and fun place. They had dogs, which we didn't, lots of games and cards, a colour TV before we did, and a larger variety of good breakfast cereals; also Aunt Barb had accessible make-up for little girls to indulge their fantasies. Frank was always cool and patient and treated kid mischief with humour. As time went on, we enjoyed regular visits in Rochester, South Carolina, and on holiday cruisies. In recent years our grandchildren also came to appreciate Uncle Frank's humour.

Frank had large number of friends at St. Mike's in Toronto as an undergrad. Here is a photo of our intermural basketball team plus one of some of the team members a 'couple of years' later at Dan Lang's 50th Anniversary, with our partners of 50+ years.

We went on a few cruises with Frank and Barb. Alaska 2011 with Irene, Mike and John Roth plus South America 2013. A good time was always had. Here are a couple of photos.

So sorry to hear of Franks passing. We had a great working relationship at Xerox and he had the patience of a saint! No matter what the crisis was, he was always calm, cool and collected...and that is how I will always remember him. That and when he suddenly felt that he wanted to wear vests every day! Different colors or patterns every day. That went on for months and then suddenly stopped. I never had the nerve to ask him why though!

Such a special man; I will always remember his dedication to Barb and life. I am so saddened by his passing and will miss his smile and presence here at Baywinde.
