Obituary of Meredith F. Low

Low, Meredith (Fellman) Pittsford: Meredith Low, a much-loved Pittsford social worker and tireless advocate for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, passed away after a short illness on Dec. 14 at Highland Hospital. She was 65.    Born in Philadelphia, she graduated from Gallaudet University and the University of Maryland, then pursued her social work career at Hillside Children's Center and Family Service of Rochester. A gifted and compassionate therapist, she recently was named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers' Genesee Valley Division.    She leaves behind her husband, Stuart, her extended family and many friends and grateful clients. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday January 5th at 2 p.m. at Temple Sinai's Social Hall, 363 Penfield Road, Rochester. For directions, go to tsinai.org.
