Obituary of Martha Louise Hieber

Hieber, Martha East Rochester: January 29, 2014 at the age of 68 years. Predeceased by her parents, Glenwood and Hedwig Hieber. She is survived by her brother & sister-in-law, Richard C. (Miriam) Hieber of VA; a niece, 2 nephews and their spouses, Karen (Tony) Allison, David (Jessica) Hieber & Robert (Julie) Hieber; 7 great nieces & nephews, Katie & Megan Allison, Sylvia, Elliot & Oliver Hieber and Charlotte & Maeve Hieber. A 1963 graduate of East Rochester High School, Martha was retired from The East Rochester Public Library where she was the Children's Librarian (1968-1971) and the Library Director (1971-2002). She received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Library Science from SUNY Geneseo. Friends may call MONDAY 4-7pm at the HARLOFF Funeral Home 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester where Martha's Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of the calling (7:15pm). Interment in Oakwood Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Martha's memory to The American Cancer Society.
